Since 2006, Georgia is 9-3 on week one of the college football season against FCS and FBS opponents. The Bulldogs won those nine games by a total score of 388-146 or 26.8 ppg.

 
Georgia won 13 games in 2017 against FBS opponents (Appalachian State, Notre Dame, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Missouri, Florida, South Carolina, Auburn, Kentucky, Georgia Tech and Oklahoma) with a combined overall record of 91-61 or .598%.
The Bulldogs won those 12 games by a total score of 449-166 or 23.5 ppg.
