Former 1st Team All-PAC 10 TE Cam Cleeland Talks About His Career

Join Host Joe Lisi as he speaks with former 1st team All-PAC 10 and NFL TE Cam Cleeland. Cleeland was a standout tight end for the Huskies from 1993-1997 who recorded 55 receptions for 824 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns. Cleeland was an honorable mention All-PAC 10 selection in 1996 and 1st team All-PAC 10 selection in 1997. 

Cleeland was the first tight end selected in the 1998 NFL draft by the New Orleans Saints. Cleeland had a very productive career from 1998-2005. In his NFL career, Cleeland recorded 131 receptions 1,478 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns. Cleeland was an excellent blocker and had great hands. He could find the open holes within the defense and utilized his size in getting open for his quarterbacks. 

At Washington, Cleeland was part of legendary head coach Don James' last recruiting classes. Cleeland learned from two other standout tight ends at Washington in Mark Bruener and Ernie Conwell. 

Currently, Cleeland resides in the Seattle area. He is a positive role-model for athletes of all ages and he continues to give back to the community by mentoring young athletes within the Seattle landscape.
