Troy Hambrick was a running back for the South Carolina Gamecocks from 1996-1998. In three years in Columbia,SC, Hambrick rushed for 1,586 rushing and 14 touchdowns. He led the Gamecocks in rushing for the 1997 and 1998 seasons. Hambrick went on to become an undrafted free agent for the Dallas Cowboys in 2000 backing up the NFL's leading rusher -Emmitt Smith. He played in the NFL from 2000-2004 ending his career with the Arizona CardinalsIn the NFL, Hambrick rushed for 2,179 yards and 9 touchdowns averaging 4.1 yards per carry. Hambrick could also catch the ball out of the backfield with 46 receptions for 260 yards and 1 touchdown.Hambrick excelled on special teams for the Cowboys and played the game with intensity and heart.
