Sooners Looking To Light Up Tulsa This Weekend
Oklahoma Sooners Try And Build On Last Week's Victory
The Oklahoma Sooners look to have found a defense to go along with their explosive offensive attack. In games against Louisiana-Monroe and West Virginia, the Sooners have only given up 9 points. The defensive line has been more physical at the point of attack and has shut down the running lanes against 2 spread offense. This will be important this weekend as the Tulsa Golden Hurricane come to Norman.
Tulsa has struggled to rush the football in its first two games of the season. The Golden Hurricane are only averaging 133 rushing yards per game and have only averaged 18.5 points over the first two games this year. QB Cody Green has completed 52.4% of his passes with 3 TD's and 1 INT. RB's Trey Watts and Ja'Terian Douglas have not had the running lanes compared to last season and the lack of running game has put tremendous pressure on QB Green and the Tulsa offensive line.
-Tulsa defense giving up an average of 30.5 points per game
-Tulsa defense giving up 205.5 rushing yards per game and has 8 new starters on defense
-OU QB Trevor Knight was injured in the West Virginia game and will give way to Blake Bell
-OU QB Blake Bell is a bruising runner and will test the Tulsa rushing defense
-OU defense only giving up 103.5 rushing yards per game
-OU passing defense is only surrendering 173 yards per game
Check back for the prediction of this game on Thursday!!
