Notes:

Florida was 9-4 in 2016, however, the Gators lost four games to Tennessee, Arkansas, Florida and Alabama all on the road or on neutral field sites. Florida was outscored by a margin of 154-67 in those games or 21.7 points per game.

 

Those four teams were a combined 40-14 or .740% (three of the four opponents were from the SEC).
Michigan defeated Florida 41-7 in their bowl match-up culminating the 2015 season.

 
The Wolverines started out 9-0 in 2016 and won those games by an average margin of victory of 37.3 points per game.

 
Michigan lost three out of their next four to end the season against Iowa, Ohio State and Florida State losing by a total of 5 points.
