Houston (8-5) vs. Oklahoma (12-2) 

-Houston hired former West Virginia head coach Dana Holgorsen for the 2019 campaign.  

-Houston won 8 games in 2018 against 7 FBS opponents (Rice, Arizona, Tulsa, ECU, Navy, South Florida and Tulane) who had a combined overall record of 30-58 or .340%. 

-The Cougars won those seven games by a total score of 327-180 or 21.0 ppg. 

-Houston also defeated FCS opponent Texas Southern by a score of 70-14. 

-The Cougars lost 5 games in 2018 against FBS opponents (Texas Tech, SMU, Temple, Memphis and Army) who had a combined overall record of 37-27 or .578%. 

-Houston lost those five games by a total score of 289-174 or 23.0 ppg. 

-Four of the five losses came on the road or on a neutral field (Texas Tech, SMU, Memphis and Army). 

 

 

-Oklahoma will have former Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts on the roster for 2019. Hurts is eligible to play immediately this year. 

-Oklahoma won 12 games in 2018 against FBS opponents (FAU, UCLA, Iowa State, Army, Baylor, TCU, Kansas State, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Kansas, West Virginia and Texas) who had a combined overall record of 79-72 or .523%. 

-The Sooners won those twelve games by a total score of 604-380 or 18.6 ppg. 

-Oklahoma lost 2 games in 2018 to FBS opponents (Texas and Alabama) who had a combined overall record of 24-5 or .827%. 

-The Sooners lost those two games by a total score of 93-29 or 7.0 ppg.
